GP Appointments

At Kennedy Way Surgery we offer a same day appointment system with the GP's where the initial contact will be via a telephone consultation  with a GP and the ongoing treatment will be agreed which may include a face to face appointment with a GP usually on the same day. To get a telephone consultation with a doctor please contact the surgery Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) between 08:00am to 6:30pm by one of the following methods:

  • Phone us on 01454 313849, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
  • Complete an econsult which can be found on this website
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
  • Online appointments can be booked via the NHS App

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

We do not make appointments via email

Nurse and Other Clinician Appointments

Kennedy Way Surgery offers nursing team appointments, appointments with physiotherapists, an advanced muscular skeletal specialist and a paramedic that can deal with a variety of medical and chronic conditions. These appointments can be booked up to a month in advance by: 

  • Phone us on 01454 313849, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
  • Complete an econsult which can be found on this website

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

We do not make appointments via email. 

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • Phone us on 01454 313849, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 11am.

About Pharmacists

As qualified healthcare professionals, the NHS Pharmacy First Sevive allows pharmacists to treat seven common conditions without a GP appointment.It offers quick local access to advice and prescription strength medication (where appropriate) for patients:

  • Acute Otitis Media (Earache) Ages 1 to 17 years
  • Impetigo Ages 1 year and over
  • Infected insect bites Ages 1 year and over
  • Shingles Ages 18 years and older
  • Sinusitis (Acute) Ages 12 years and older
  • Sore Throats Ages 5 years and over
  • Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Women aged 16 to 64 years old

They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.

Many pharmacies are open until late and on weekends. You do not need an appointment.

Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.
